Residents of Tualatin are represented by elected officials at the local, regional, state, and federal level.

City

The Tualatin City Council includes a mayor and six councilors elected at-large.

Tualatin is located in two counties. Everything west of 65th Avenue is located in Washington County, while everything east of 65th Avenue is located in Clackamas County.

The Washington County Board of Commissioners includes a chair elected regionwide, and four commissioners elected by district. The commissioners also serve as the governing board for Clean Water Services.

Metro

The Metro Council consists of a president elected regionwide, and six councilors elected by district. Tualatin is in Metro District 3, which includes portions of Washington and Clackamas counties and the cities of Beaverton, Durham, King City, Tigard, Tualatin, Sherwood, and Wilsonville.

State

The Oregon House of Representatives has 60 members elected by district. Tualatin is in House District 37, which includes Durham, Tualatin, and West Linn.

The Oregon Senate has 30 members elected by district. Tualatin is in Senate District 19, which includes Lake Oswego, Tualatin, West Linn, and S/SW Portland.

Federal

Oregon is represented in the U.S. House of Representatives by six representatives elected by district. Tualatin is in U.S. House District 6, which includes all of Polk and Yamhill counties, plus significant portions of Marion, Clackamas, and Washington counties.

Oregon is represented in the U.S. Senate by two senators elected statewide.
