Measure 34-345 Passed

In November 2025, Washington County voters approved the library local option levy, ensuring continued funding for the Tualatin Public Library and other libraries in the Washington County Cooperative Library Services system.

City Council Elections

Members of the City Council are elected every two years to staggered four-year terms. People interested in running will file for a specific position, but all positions are elected at large – meaning all voters have the opportunity to elect all positions, and all elected candidates represent the entire community.

  • Mayor (term expires December 31, 2026)
  • Position 1 (term expires December 31, 2026)
  • Position 2 (term expires December 31, 2028)
  • Position 3 (term expires December 31, 2026)
  • Position 4 (term expires December 31, 2028)
  • Position 5 (term expires December 31, 2026)
  • Position 6 (term expires December 31, 2028)

All positions, including the mayor, are term limited to 12-years in any 20-year period. However, if a mayor has previously served two full terms as a city councilor, they may serve two consecutive terms as mayor, potentially allowing someone up to 16 years total on the City Council in that scenario.
