Community Engagement

Community engagement helps the community by engaging locally and regionally.

Transportation, housing, and the economy are all factors that impact Tualatin, but have a regional presence. Staff is dedicated to tracking and advocating for our community at the county, regional, state, and national levels. Coordination is then conducted with Tualatin residents, businesses, and City Council.

Quality stewardship of your taxes is a primary goal as we are always looking to increase government coordination and efficiency. Supported by staff and computer software (TrakIt) streaming permit processing and online accessibility.

Share your thoughts on development applications and capital (city) projects and ask questions about important topics with your neighbors, on social media, and with elected or appointed officials. Check out the projects page for current applications and projects.

Attend a project-based meeting or an on-going Architectural Review BoardPlanning Commission, or City Council meeting.

Email or call us at (503) 691-3026 about opportunities to serve on a project-based committee, Architectural Review Board, or Planning Commission.

Transportation Planning & Policy

Transportation planning and policy helps the community by guiding development and bringing needed transportation services to our city.

With Tualatin’s regional location and composition as a major employer, transportation impacts the quality of life for all Tualatin residents. Due to the complexity of this topic (see Transportation Planning and Funding map (PDF)) and depth of importance in the community, aspects of transportation are shared between Community Development and Public Works. The following describes the breakdown:
