Tualatin Business License

The City of Tualatin welcomes your business.

Any business or person conducting business, in the City of Tualatin, is required to obtain a business license, unless specifically exempt by State or Federal statute.

The License year is from January 1st to December 31st and is renewable annually.  For a new business starting after July 1st, the fee is one half of the stated amount and would then be renewable the following January.

Once the completed application and payment are received, the license is routed to the Building and Planning departments for approval.  The license is usually processed and mailed within seven to ten days.

The City of Tualatin accepts the Metro license for Builders and Landscape Contractors.

1. If you have a Metro license and your business is not based, within the Tualatin city limits, you are exempt filing for a City license.
2. If you have a Metro license and your business is based, within the Tualatin city limits, a Tualatin license is required and the fee is waived.
