Municipal Court

Tualatin Municipal Court primarily hears traffic violations; violations of municipal codes and ordinances, including animal, vegetation and trash nuisances; vehicle impoundments; and parking and pedestrian violations. The Court also hears certain minor tobacco, liquor, and drug violations.

When Court is not in session, staff work as a team to assist patrons and answer phone calls from defendants, attorneys, internal City employees, and other outside agencies. In 2025, the Municipal Court team also started offering wedding ceremony officiating services. Here at Tualatin Municipal Court, we pride ourselves in treating all of our patrons with respect and kindness. We realize practically everyone receives a traffic citation during their lives and we want to ensure they have the best experience possible in our court.
